Florida Travel Guide

Being that we're still living in a world where the majority of us are working from home, my husband and I decided to skip out the dreary winter season in NY and made our way down to Florida for two months.

I'm sharing some things that we did (safely) and that you can hopefully enjoy in the near or far future if you're in Florida.

TO DO: Miami

Gianni's At The Former Versace Mansion: If you're a fashion lover and a foodie, the two worlds have collided here! Formerly known as Gianni Versace's mansion, this piece of heaven has been transformed into a hotel and restaurant. While you're sipping on a cocktail and eating their delicious handmade pasta, you can admire the tile work and energy that this place has. Reservations are hard to get, so try booking through OpenTable to snag a spot!

The Tavern at Hotel Croydon: This is another gem and hot spot in Miami. Located at Hotel Croyden, this boutique restaurant has a lot of character and the brunch menu is great. You can hang out by the pool area and enjoy a cocktail before or after you eat your meal.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens: I can't believe that I only just heard of this place! Recommended by a friend, I took my parents to check the estate right outside of Miami. Regular admission tickets (13+) start at $18 and you can walk around both inside and outside the estate for as long as you want. It's a Mediterranean slice of heaven!

TO DO: West Palm Beach

West Palm Beach Antique and Farmer's Market: Located at 300 Clematis St, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. This is a great way to spend a Saturday morning and afternoon. Not only are there lots of different foods to try, but there's booths with various local artisans and antiques as well.

Drive along S Beach Blvd and admire the beautiful beach-front homes (or rather, mansions).

TO DO: Delray Beach

I spent the most time in Delray since that's where we were staying. My favorite part of Delray is the Pineapple Grove area. Head over to Atlantic Ave where there's so many restaurants and boutiques to venture to. It's also walking distance to the beach! Below are some of my favorite places to grab a bite and drinks.
